The SUNRISE-6G project was proudly represented at the 60th Demokritos Summer School, hosted by the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (NCSR Demokritos) in Athens, Greece, from 7–11 July 2025.
On the day dedicated to the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, the programme featured interactive sessions, poster presentations, and panel discussions covering a wide range of research and innovation topics, including artificial intelligence, large language models, digital processing of historical documents, and emerging technologies for the future of education.
SUNRISE-6G contributed to the panel discussion on the application of AI in Telecommunications and Networks, alongside other cutting-edge Horizon Europe projects such as aerOS, O-CEI, 6G-VERSUS, SAFE-6G, UNITY-6G, and ENVELOPE. This panel explored how AI is driving the evolution of next-generation networks and enabling new possibilities for 6G.
The Demokritos Summer School is a long-standing initiative that brings undergraduate and postgraduate students of STEM disciplines closer to scientific research, encouraging knowledge exchange, networking, and inspiration for the next generation of researchers.
