SUNRISE-6G showcased at JuliaCon 2024: Advancing AI/ML in 6G
The SUNRISE-6G project proudly announces its representation at JuliaCon 2024 by Paulito Palmes from IBM Research, a key partner in the project.
Held annually, JuliaCon is the premier conference for the global Julia programming language community. This year’s event, which included additional workshops and a hackathon, took place from July 9th to 13th in Eindhoven.
Paulito Palmes presented a talk on “E2EAI with Julia, KOs, and Argo Workflow,” highlighting the motivations behind the E2EAI (End-to-End Artificial Intelligence) initiative. This innovative solution leverages Julia’s AI/ML capabilities to optimize complex workflows across distributed systems, a critical requirement for the next generation of 6G infrastructures. The talk outlined E2EAI’s components, such as Kubernetes Operators (KOs), Argo Workflow, and AutoMLPipeline package, which together form a robust, scalable platform for deploying AI/ML models in real-world applications.

The SUNRISE-6G project is leading the development of a scalable, open, and standards-compliant framework for 6G experimentation across a pan-European Federation of infrastructures. By participating in JuliaCon 2024, SUNRISE-6G aims to highlight the synergies between cutting-edge AI/ML technologies and the evolving landscape of 6G, paving the way for enhanced vertical application deployment across Europe.
SUNRISE-6G’s collaboration with its Consortium and the broader Julia community exemplifies the commitment to fostering a robust experimental infrastructure. This effort is a significant stride toward realizing 6G technology, ensuring that Europe remains a leader in this transformative field.
