SUNRISE-6G Participates in the ETSI Joint SDG Ecosystem Day 2025!

The SUNRISE-6G project was pleased to take part in the ETSI Joint SDG Ecosystem Day, held online on 26 November 2025. This full-day event brought together the communities of all ETSI Software Development Groups (SDGs), showcasing state-of-the-art developments across OpenOP, OpenCAPIF, TeraFlowSDN, OpenSlice, OpenSourceMANO, and their associated research and open-source initiatives.

The event provided a collaborative platform for projects to exchange knowledge, share implementation experiences, and present advancements that will help shape the future of open-source technologies and 6G innovation. It also marked the official launch of the SNS4SNS 2026 Hackathon, where the challenges were announced and participants were invited to begin forming their teams.

As part of the OpenOP (OOP) ecosystem, SUNRISE-6G contributed two presentations that highlighted the project’s latest achievements in agentic operations, CAMARA-aligned APIs, and developer-focused toolkits:

  • From Intent to Action: CAMARA-Compliant Agentic Operations with MCP
Presented by Kostas Chartsias (Intracom Telecom)

  • OpenOP Software Development Kit for Transformation Functions (TF-SDK)
Presented by Cesar Cajas (i2CAT Research Centre)

These talks demonstrated SUNRISE-6G’s commitment to delivering interoperable, standards-aligned solutions that enhance automation, programmability, and openness in next-generation networks.

We extend our appreciation to ETSI, the SDG communities, and all participating speakers for creating an engaging and productive ecosystem event. The enthusiasm and interaction from the audience contributed greatly to the success of the day, and SUNRISE-6G looks forward to continued collaboration within the broader SNS and SDG ecosystems.
