SUNRISE-6G Holds its 3rd Plenary Meeting in Athens, Greece

The SUNRISE-6G consortium successfully held its 3rd Plenary Meeting on May 15-16, 2025, in Athens, Greece, marking the project’s Month 17 milestone. The meeting, hosted by OTE Group, brought together all project partners for two days of fruitful discussions, updates, and strategic planning.

The plenary meeting provided an opportunity for in-person collaboration as the consortium continues to work toward building an open, federated, and sustainable 6G experimentation platform in Europe.

The agenda covered progress updates on technical implementation, management coordination, communication efforts, and plans for participation in the upcoming EuCNC & 6G Summit 2025, where SUNRISE-6G will present key results and demos.

A highlight of the meeting was the first demonstration of the SUNRISE-6G Experimentation Portal, which will serve as a central access point for researchers and developers conducting 6G experiments on the project’s federated testbeds. This early version of the portal will continue to evolve, with a more advanced version planned for presentation at EuCNC 2025 next month.

The consortium remains committed to advancing 6G research and innovation, supporting the EU’s strategic vision for next-generation connectivity through open collaboration and cutting-edge experimentation.
