SUNRISE-6G co-organised the workshop “The Path Towards 6G: Standardisation and Research Vision” at the ICC 2025!
With great success, SUNRISE-6G co-organised the workshop “The Path Towards 6G: Standardisation and Research Vision” on 27 May 2025 in Montreal, held as part of the IEEE Communications Society’s flagship conference, ICC 2025.
The workshop brought together leading experts to explore the evolution of 6G, addressing both the research vision and standardisation activities that will shape the next generation of communication networks. A highlight of the event was the inspiring keynote “A Realistic Path to 6G” delivered by Prof. Rahim Tafazolli, CBE, which sparked thought-provoking discussions on how to bridge today’s advancements with tomorrow’s technologies.
By contributing to this workshop, SUNRISE-6G advanced its mission to drive research and innovation in 6G experimentation platforms, fostering collaboration across Europe and beyond.
The workshop was jointly organised by the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) projects: ADROIT6G, 6G-INTENSE, FLECON-6G, 6Green, SUPERIOT, 6G-BRICKS, SUNRISE-6G, 6G-DALI, HORSE, PRIVATEER 6G, and 6GARROW.
