SUNRISE-6G is proud to announce the official kick-off of the ETSI Software Development Group Open Operation Platform (OpenOP)!

The OpenOP builds on the innovative developments of the Operation Platform (OP) within the SUNRISE-6G project, and will serve as an open-source implementation of the GSMA OP, enabling interaction and operational management across the SUNRISE-6G ecosystem.

During its implementation, OpenOP will expand its capabilities to include:

• GSMA OPG APIs for Federation Management
• CAMARA Edge-Cloud Service APIs
• Multi-platform support for Edge/Cloud environments
• CAMARA transformation functions for interoperability across various 5G cores.

This initiative represents a key standardisation outcome from SUNRISE-6G, under the umbrella of the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) programme.

The OpenOP effort is initiated by @ICOM and @ISI under the leadership of Vasilios Theodorou and Christos Verikoukis, with strong support from: i2CAT, ORANGE Romania, Lenovo, EURECOM, Fraunhofer, OTE
