SUNRISE-6G took part in the Infocom World 2025 workshop, focusing on building a sustainable federation of 6G research infrastructures across Europe. The session was coordinated by Consortium members from OTE, and it brought together leading European projects to share ideas and results on how to scale up experimentation in 6G.

The session titled: “Sustainable Federation of Research Infrastructures for Scaling-up Experimentation in 6G: A Modern pan-European Federation of 6G Test Infrastructures within the scope of the SUNRISE-6G Project” highlighted key achievements of SUNRISE-6G, including tools and platforms that allow different testbeds and operator networks to work together, open-source solutions for experimentation, and new ways to manage AI-driven processes. The presentations showed how these technologies can help researchers, companies, and industries test new 6G ideas more efficiently across Europe.

During its dedicated session, SUNRISE-6G partners presented the project’s major achievements, innovative tools, and key research outcomes. The session included the following presentations:

• “Open-Source Operator Platform enabling Operator Network and Testbed Federation” by Intracom Telecom (ICOM), Greece

• “Conversational MLOPs” by  IBM Research, Ireland

• “Multi RAT Dual Connectivity Enabler bridging TN-NTN Networks for Ubiquitous Connectivity Beyond 5G” by National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos” (NCSRD), Greece

• “Open SDK for the Federation Framework” by  i2CAT, Spain
