SUNRISE-6G actively participated in the 2nd Plenary Meeting of ETSI’s OpenOP Software Development Group (SDG OOP), held in Barcelona on 26 January 2026.

OpenOP is an open-source operator platform enabling shared 6G testbeds and standardised APIs. SUNRISE-6G’s involvement highlights our work on:

• Open and interoperable network architectures for next-generation 6G systems.

• Collaborative testing and validation of cloud-native and AI-driven network solutions.

• Bringing together EU projects and industry partners to accelerate innovation.

This meeting was co-hosted by the ADROIT6G project, and the SUNRISE-6G Consortium partners: Intracom Telecom, Iquadrat, and ISI/ATH, and gathered researchers and industry experts driving practical and deployable 6G solutions.

SUNRISE-6G’s contribution helps advance open networks, supporting developers and researchers in building the next generation of connected services.
